Harriet Tubman
Harriet Tubman accomplished alot during her life time. She did alot of work at the battle field. She also did alot of slaves a big favor by giving them freedom. She accomplished so much that a reward of $40,000 was offered and was named "Moses of her people". Moses was a man who freed his people from slavery when the pharo ruled over them.

During the Civil War, Harriet Tubman was very active. She became a nurse, a scout, and a spy for the Union forces. As a nurse, Harriet found a root that helped cure the dysentery. Once again the soldiers began to call her Moses because she had saved many of their lives. While being involved in the Civil War, Harriet freed another seven hundred slaves. Harriet was said to be a well respected throughout the war. She received official commendations from many Union Army officials. Even though Harriet contributed a lot of time and hard work in the war efforts, she never received veterans’ benefits for any of of her painstaking work.

Harriet never considered her own safety. She never got lost on the way to the North and never lost a single slave. Additional, she also never got caught. "I never got off the track of the train and never lost a single passage"
